Plate Tectonics

This geological piece depicts the process the earth goes through. And however slow it is, it is still dynamic.

The surface has been created using a technique known as reticulation. This is where silver is heated to just the right amount so that the interior will melt while the exterior crinkles and contracts.  This creates unpredictable and interesting results.  Granules line the gap like debris, revealing two 3mm rubies nestled amongst them before being sealed in resin.
