Pentangle

This design originates from the exploration of the five‑pointed star, or pentagram, translated into the form of a band. The geometry of the star embodies a series of relationships governed by phi, the golden ratio—a proportional harmony found throughout nature and classical design.

The pentad symbolizes regeneration: a principle of self‑renewing geometry through which endless variation arises from a single generative form. In this piece, that timeless pattern becomes both structure and symbol, uniting mathematics and aesthetics in perfect balance.

A pattern was scored into sheet of metal, formed into a ring, then channels were files out.  With wear the outer surface will dull due to knocks, while the channels will stay polished.

 This ring cannot be sized, and making a new one may change the width to keep the pattern intact.
